A coating on a brake disc gives the disc a life long protection against corrosion. This has no direct benefit tot the durability of the coated disc, it does give the disc a very polished image. Especially when combined with a nice 'open' alloy rim, a coated disc is the finishing touch.
ABS uses geomet coating for its discs. This very high quality grey coating is equal to OE is passes the very intensive salt spray test with flying colors. At this moment the ABS range with geomet coated discs spans more than 60 references, and this range will increase.
For high-end applications, less than 6 years old ABS covers the complete range in coated discs for: Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Landrover, Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche, Skoda, Volkswagen and Volvo. |
